Film Production - Casting

Caleb: A 10-year-old boy who has little to no extreme athletic experience especially at the skate park. He is a boy who strives to better and be the best at what he does, but he struggles to take a beating and pursue his passion. Caleb is suitable to play this character because most of the shots will be natural behavior for him.

Isla: A young girl who is strong and confident in all that she does. She is perfect for the role of an encourager as she has the voice to be encouraging as well as giving the extra push needed for Caleb's character to push the limits of what he can accomplish. She is also very loud which will be good for the distance needed in certain shots to be able to hear clearly what is happening. 

Transition to 8 years later...

Abby: Abby will be playing the character of Isla as she transitions from a young girl to a young lady. She is ideal for the role as many of the features of Isla and Caleb's real-life friendship can be seen in Abby and Dawson's as well. She will continue to fill the role of encourager as Dawson(Caleb) continues to do new and bigger things. 

Dawson: Dawson will be playing the role of Caleb showing how much skill he has taken up since the beginning. He is a great fit because he has actual experience from going to the skate park in previous years. Through the transition, it is obvious that Caleb has matured and has gone through the stage when he realizes accidents and bad times happen, but in the end, he only continues to progress.
