Traditional Distribution
One way of the traditional distribution of a film is to hire a sales agent which acts as the middle between a filmmaker and the companies which will reach the target audience. For example, if we hired a sales agent for Follow Through, they might try to sell our movie to networks, airlines, or hotels in a way that highlights why people will enjoy the film as well as why it will do well based on the company the agent is speaking to. We will utilize this model by hiring a sales agent and pitching our film to them in order for them to convince the bigger companies that we do not necessarily have close connections with so that they will want to invest in our film to show through whatever channels they have. While finding a sales agent that is perfect for our film might be difficult due to monetary restrictions as well as someone who is genuinely interested in our film's best success, we want to do everything we can to reach the people that might be inspired by our film.
